As a mentor, University of Georgia students attend a special event day held once a year. This special event is a shopping day that incorporates educational activities, special performances, and shopping at Target with math and reading grade level standards. For instance, children and mentors work on creating a toy and clothing budget, measure the size of their wrapping paper, and complete a holiday word scramble to make learning a part of life.
Applications to be a mentor are now open
(to those who have mentored in the past)
Sign ups will be open March 5-30. Mentors are required to return a typed background check and $20 mentor fee to the CSO
on March 29th or 30th by 5:00pm.
Shop with a Bulldawg mentors serve to bring joy to children, hope to families, and the holidays to Athens. Mentors have the opportunity to directly serve Athens-Clarke County's families and children by committing to Shop with a Bulldawg, and they have the opportunity to make memories with a child that lasts a lifetime.
